While I do agree with both gentlemen, the Chainlink team has 1 more challenge: make the $LINK token great.
Demand for usage won’t come from retail, but from institutions. And while the $LINK reserve and other incentives are great, it needs to be pushed more.
That being said, I believe the gameplan has always been: build the best possible product -> start marketing and focus on the token -> world domination
The product is a done deal, they won. They just need to figure out how to increase the demand and need for the token. Or how retail might become more interested.
But the team are a bunch of geniuses and visionaries. They will get there.
