What is OKX DEX?

OKX DEX is a one-stop, multi-chain and cross-chain trading aggregator integrated into the OKX Web3 Wallet, designed to help users discover on-chain opportunities, analyze token data, and trade efficiently in one place.There are few main features available in OKX DEX:

Explore

Explore is a discovery and market insight hub designed to help users identify trending on-chain assets and narratives.
Users can browse popular tokens, emerging sectors, and real-time market movements across multiple chains. Token profiles provide essential information such as price trends, trading activity, liquidity data, and on-chain indicators, helping users quickly understand what is happening in the market before trading.

DEX

DEX is the core trading module of OKX DEX, enabling users to swap tokens directly on-chain.
It aggregates liquidity from multiple decentralized exchanges and automatically selects optimized routes based on price, liquidity, and gas efficiency. Users can perform token swaps, bridge (cross-chain swaps), and view estimated fees and slippage in one place, without manually interacting with individual DEX platforms.

DeFi

DeFi provides access to decentralized finance opportunities across different blockchain ecosystems.
It aggregates liquidity from 30+ public blockchains, 25+ cross-chain bridges, and 400+ decentralized exchanges, covering over 300,000 crypto assets. Powered by OKX’s self-developed X Routing smart routing technology, a single trade can be intelligently split and executed across multiple DEXs at the same time to achieve the best available price with minimal slippage.
The DEX module supports both same-chain and cross-chain swaps. Users can view real-time price comparisons, estimated gas fees, and slippage before confirming a transaction, without manually switching networks or interacting with individual DEX platforms.

Boost

Boost highlights on-chain activities, campaigns, and incentive-based opportunities.
It aggregates events such as task-based rewards, ecosystem promotions, and featured projects, allowing users to explore potential benefits beyond standard trading. Boost is designed to help users engage with Web3 ecosystems and discover additional value through participation-based incentives.

What exchange modes are supported on the OKX DEX app?

Meme Mode

Meme Mode focuses on trading specific Meme tokens. Users can browse and trade Meme-related assets in a dedicated market view with tailored trading options. This mode is ideal for users who are particularly interested in Meme tokens.

Swap Mode

Swap Mode supports both market and limit orders, allowing users to perform more advanced trading operations. Users can set slippage tolerance and execute trades at the best available price. This mode is suitable for users with some trading experience.

Advanced Trading Mode

Advanced Trading Mode supports in-depth data analysis and advanced trading settings, enabling users to carry out more sophisticated trading strategies.

Bridge Mode

Bridge (Cross-Chain) Mode allows users to transfer assets across different blockchain networks and supports asset swaps across multiple public chains. Users can select the source and destination networks, and the system will automatically choose the optimal route for the transfer. This mode is suitable for users who need to perform cross-chain transactions.

How to use OKX DEX?

Step 1: Create or import a wallet

Open the Web3 Wallet and select Create Wallet > Create Now.
Set your wallet password.
Back up your Seed phrase. You can choose to back it up via iCloud or use an offline physical backup.

Note: make sure to securely backup your wallet seed phrase or private key. If it is lost, it cannot be recovered. Keep your seed phrase safe at all times. If anyone gains access to it, they will have full control over your wallet.

Step 2: Transfer assets into your wallet

After securely backing up your wallet, you can fund it by transferring assets into the wallet for trading. Select Receive, search for the token you want to trade, and open its details page to obtain the deposit address. Then, open another exchange or wallet, paste the copied address or scan the QR code to send the assets.

Note: before initiating a transaction, make sure your wallet has enough tokens to cover gas fees. For example, you need a certain amount of ETH for transactions on Ethereum and SOL for transactions on Solana.

Step 3: Browse tokens

OKX DEX offers a built-in market feature that helps you stay up to date with trending tokens anytime, anywhere.

On the Explore page > select Trending section to quickly browse current hot topics, such as Solana, TikTok AI, and more.

Step 4: View price movements

On the Explore page, tap a specific token, for example ETH, to enter the token details page. Here, you can view the candlestick (K-line) chart, token overview, trading history, liquidity pool changes, and other relevant data.

You can also browse trending tokens through the Explore pages. Tap any token to proceed directly to trading.

Step 5: Place a trade

On the token details page, tap Quick Buy or Trade, then select your preferred trading mode to complete the transaction.

Step 6: View transaction history

After completing a trade, you can tap the History icon to view your past transactions. Each transaction record supports jumping to a blockchain explorer to check detailed information.

If you have a large number of transactions, you can also filter by network to quickly locate specific records.
